Reporting to the Director of Experiential Learning and Career Development the Career Services Programs Assistant
Intern for the Experiential Learning and Career Development Center is responsible for supporting the department staff
in executing administrative activities for students and providing counseling services on an individual and group basis
using aptitude personality interest and values inventories and computer guidance systems.
Essential Job Functions: Assist with the gathering and analysis of all data associated within the department program (e.g.
attendance surveys handouts generated by the department Director).
Use department software such as Canva Adobe MS Publisher MS Word MS Excel MS PowerPoint MS Teams
and more to produce documents reports daily operations and marketing materials.
Assists with department social media and other marketing.
Assist with the planning of group meetings within the department and across departments as needed. .
Greets and directs faculty staff and visitors in a professional manner.
Prepare correspondence for students faculty staff and administrative offices.
Maintain calendar for Director relating to meetings and events.
Assist with collecting maintaining and disseminating all data documents reports for planning and program
implementation.
Become familiar with all policies and procedures as they relate to the assigned department.
Ability to work independently and submit ideas and plans of action for the Directors review.
Attends meetings to take notes as requested.
Effectively performs assigned projects to meet desired objectives and deadlines.
Maintains departmental databases ensuring data integrity.
Generates reports and documents effectively utilizing special utility software functions.
Assists with organizing invoices for payment and requisitions as assigned in a timely manner.
Order and maintain supply and equipment inventory for the department.
Model appropriate professional attitudes and behaviors to staff students and others on and off campus.
Provide administrative support for assigned departments.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma pursuing Bachelors degree or higher.
Maintain confidentiality pertaining to student records and external partner contact information
Willingness to continue professional growth
Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills
The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Must be creative able to generate ideas and be a self-starter
Responsible dependable well-organized and demonstrate a high level of integrity
Maintain a positive and professional attitude
Good organizational skills
Knowledge of community services and resources

Physical Demands
Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours/day. Some lifting (up to 25 pounds occasionally) bending and carrying. The
employee is regularly required to talk and hear and to use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
