Job Description
About The Role:
Do you have a passion for analysing and modelling data to help clients answer complex business problems
We are now looking for aData Scientistto work alongside our talent delivery team of data scientists analysts engineers and consultants. Reporting toone of our experienced AnalyticsManagers you will have the opportunity to join an innovative and high performing team to solve new and challenging problems using varied sources and types of data across a range of clients and industries.
This role covers both traditional data science (i.e. statistical based data science) as well as modern AI modelling.
This role focuses on the data science work within Data Insight and would also include opportunities to get involved in all aspects of our consultancy engagements whether it be engineering analytics training or helping clients to make data & AI a real strategic asset that delivers measurable impact for them.
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the team on our project engagements and working closely with our clients to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
- Choosing the optimal solution modelling or otherwise to solve client problems with the right balance of accuracy interpretability and timeliness.
- Building AI models for our clients much of which is done within the Microsoft environment (e.g. AI Foundry)
- Presenting analyses and/ ormodelling outputs to tell a clear and succinct story to clients.
- Contribute to internal innovation through input into team strategy process improvement and product development.
- Working with the team to build upon best practice in Python data science and AI engagements including keeping up with the ever evolving technology developments
- Mentoring and developing junior team members
What you will bring to this role:
- 3 years experience in data science roles.
- Machine learning and statistical modelling languages such as Python
- Dealing with all manner of data from querying structured databases to unstructured data in data lakes & modern cloud solutions
- Working in a range of computing environments and learning new skills on the go
- Translating business problems into workable solutions and communicating results in an engaging and audience-appropriate fashion either written or verbally
- Working individually within client teams or leading internal project teams to deliver the best outputs in a timely manner
- A strong desire to learn new tools and ways of working on the job
- Passionate about problem solving great communication skills and ability to communicate effectively about your solutions
- Commercially minded and always focused on the so what
- Ability to work with clients and stakeholders on projects
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and manage your own workload
