Job Description
What You Can Expect
As a Cash Application Analyst Intern you will support the Cash Application team in processing and reconciling payments ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and assisting with reporting. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in financial operations and exposure to cash application processes within a fast-paced environment. The position is based in Houston TX and will run from September 2025 to December 2025.
- You will gain hands-on experience applying incoming payments to customer accounts and invoices accurately while also investigating and resolving discrepancies in real time
- You will gain hands-on experience assisting in reconciling daily bank transactions and identifying exceptions building valuable exposure to core financial processes
- Gain hands-on experience supporting the month-end closing process by preparing relevant documentation and working alongside the accounting team
- Gain hands-on experience collaborating with the accounting team to improve cash application efficiency and working with the unclaimed property team to ensure items are properly distributed and accounted for
- Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding payment issues strengthening your problem-solving abilities and professional communication skills
What Youll Bring
- You are at least a Sophomore pursuing a degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field
- You have a strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- You are detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- You are proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems experience with ERP software
- You have effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy with a minimum of three (3) days in-office two (2) days remote schedule
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Hourly Range: $22.50 - $34.00 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography experience industry knowledge education internal pay alignment or other bona fide factors.
