Job Description
Location:Arlington VA
Reports to:Senior Manager Accounting

Role Overview:
This Staff Accountant will support the monthly and quarterly close process manage general ledger entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities. The role is highly cross-functional partnering with finance operations and external stakeholders. Ideal for someone eager to grow optimize processes and contribute to a fast-paced mission-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly/quarterly close and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare loan draws for development portfolio
- Record journal entries for revenue AP prepaid expenses and debt
- Generate ad-hoc reports for finance and operations teams
- Liaise with auditors lenders and vendors
- Support cash forecasting and liquidity analysis
Technical Skills:
- Experience with NetSuite Oracle or similar GL systems
- Strong Excel skills; familiarity with PowerPoint and Word
- Exposure to Sage products is a plus
Education & Credentials:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA license or active candidate preferred
- 12 years of experience in external audit or GL accounting
