Trinity Health Medical Group (THMG) is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Psychiatrist to join our dynamic Psychiatry team at the Inpatient Psych Unit in Muskegon Michigan with opportunities for growth teaching and a collaborative supportive work environment.
Job Description:
Provide comprehensive psychiatric care for adult inpatients in a dedicated behavioral health unit.
Perform initial psychiatric evaluations diagnose mental health conditions and manage treatment plans.
Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in coordination with the care team.
Collaborate daily with a fully staffed multidisciplinary team including APPs RNs social workers case managers and other specialists.
Participate in daily clinical rounds and contribute to patient-centered care discussions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.
Work a consistent MondayFriday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with built-in flexibility based on provider needs.
Share in weekend call coverage on a rotating 1:4 schedule.
Option to pick up additional shifts for extra compensation if desired.
Engage in teaching and mentorship of medical students residents and fellows within an academic-affiliated environment.
Opportunity to pursue additional interests such as research outpatient care or leadership roles depending on provider goals and departmental needs
Open to experienced Board Certified provider or TRULY Board Eligible recent graduates
Open to new graduates and experience
Physicians must be board certified in their specialty or board eligible and will become board certified within 2 years of becoming board eligible.
