Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

  • Makes recommendations for process improvements.

  • Shows a moderate degree of proficiency with reporting and analysis tools.

  • Works on semi-structured assignments based on existing practices and within guidelines.

  • Mentors staff accountants.

  • Compile ad hoc accounting and analyses for other business partners

  • Assist with internal and external audits

  • Shares best practices with other team members and makes recommendations for process improvements

  • Assists directors managers and other team members on various projects and analyses

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent courses
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting in the insurance industry
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of accounting rules regulatory rules and/or business processes as it pertains to the accountants sphere of responsibility (e.g. a set of regulatory filings or account reconciliations)

  • Demonstrates broad based analytical and inquiry skills to understand legal entity financial statements board reports and/or filings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills and an advanced knowledge of MS Excel and the Essbase add-in

  • Familiarity with Asia treasury accounting system
