Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare this role you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials to assist in the evaluation of patients health. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging results that contribute to patient care.
Duties
- Perform DEXA scans and PET scans as part of diagnostic evaluations.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients in accordance with established protocols.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Conduct medical imaging procedures while adhering to safety standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret imaging results and provide necessary follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures patient information and inventory of radioactive materials.
- Stay updated on advancements in nuclear medicine technology and techniques.
Experience
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology anatomy and physiology is essential for effective communication and understanding of imaging results.
- Previous experience in nuclear medicine or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and medical imaging equipment is highly desirable.
