Sterile Processing Technician VA Central California Health Care System (Fresno CA)
Location: Fresno CA VACCHCS
Period of Performance: Sept 15 2025 Sept 14 2026
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role:
Veterans Engineering (VE) is seeking experienced Sterile Processing Technicians (MSTs) to support the VA Central California Health Care System. This role is vital in ensuring the proper reprocessing of reusable medical devices (RMDs) to maintain the highest standards of patient safety.
Shifts Available:
7:00 AM 3:30 PM
3:00 PM 11:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Perform all sterile processing duties per VA standards.
Maintain technical proficiency in RMD reprocessing and sterile supply procedures.
Adhere to VA Medical Staff By-Laws policies and compliance standards.
Complete and maintain all VA-required mandatory training.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or equivalent).
Ability to read write speak and understand English fluently.
Documented evidence of competency training and education (including explanation of gaps).
Prior VA or healthcare system experience preferred.
