In order to support the Internet of Things Platforms and Digital Solutions Team Airbus Operations is looking for a
Masterand (d/f/m) in C&C Engineering IoT Platforms & Digital Services
Are you looking for a Master Thesis and want to research in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for aviation The thesis will focus on processing structured/unstructured data and integrating AI-driven automation into Airbus technical and operational contexts. Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in the Department for Internet of Things Platforms and Digital Solutions as an intern (d/f/m)!
Location: Hamburg
Start: as soon as possible
Duration: 6 months
Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Desired skills and qualifications
Enrolled full-time master student in the area of Software Engineering Computer/Data Science IT or an equivalent field of study.
Data Science & Machine Learning (data cleaning structuring model development)
Generative AI / LLMs (e.g. prompt engineering fine-tuning evaluation)
Communication Systems (preferably aviation-related protocols & architectures)
Embedded Systems / IoT (understanding of connectivity sensors devices)
Strong analytical skills structured working style and ability to document results clearly.
Comfortable with Python / C.
Fluent in English is a must and in German is plus.
