Position Overview
Prica Global Enterprises Inc. (PGE) is looking for an experienced and energetic Senior Project Accountant. This position will primarily support all cost controllership and reporting pertaining to Projects. The successful candidate will actively work with PGEs Design Engineering and Project Management teams to oversee timely tracking monitoring and reporting ensuring the accuracy of all financial and operational metrics relating to project performance. Working closely with the CFO the successful candidate will play a key role in all project financing activities including new project financial modeling and underwriting and playing a lead role in the monthly construction draw process
Primary Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CFO the key responsibilities of the Senior Project Accountant are:
Project Accounting and Controllership:
- Primary Accounting support contact for Design Engineering Project Management. Oversee transaction workflow and processing General Ledger accuracy and Job Cost budget vs. actuals.
- o Lead the coordination of all requisitions subtrade invoicing and payments including management of the construction lender draw process.
- o Ongoing management and optimization of all financial processes that pertain to projects. Includes systems optimization and the development and implementation of enhanced policies and procedures
Project Financing and Lender Draw Process:
- Work closely with the CFO to complete new construction financing applications lender reporting and other compliance requirements.
- Ensure monthly invoicing and project monitoring activities coincide with the monthly construction draw process while working closely with the projects external cost consultant to facilitate timely funding and vendor payments.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure project activities align with guidelines and reporting requirements for all stakeholders.
- Prepare regular progress reports to funders detailing project milestones and financial expenditures.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Economics or Accounting
- 3 years of experience in construction or related industry
- Strong systems aptitude (Yardi experience considered a significant asset)
- Progressive experience that indicates strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence without specific authority
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Strong ability to think creatively challenge the status quo deal with ambiguity
- History of strong personal performance and value add to the business
- Demonstrated success working with internal/ external stakeholders
- Strong financial acumen and financial skills including quantitative problem solving
- Project management skills including a thorough understanding of project planning budgeting and monitoring to ensure successful project execution
