DescriptionSenior Process Coach Production (Maintenance)
ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to
- Coaching and Support: Coach and support Manufacturing Work Groups (MWG).
- System Application: Understand and consistently apply standard manufacturing operating systems.
- Countermeasure Support: Support Work Groups for short-term and long-term countermeasures of all abnormalities.
- Operational Validation: Validate and bridge operational needs as required to ensure the production line is running safely smoothly and producing quality parts.
- Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) Coordination: Strategically plan and coordinate Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) activities to achieve Safety Quality and Productivity objectives.
- Communication and Recognition: Foster effective communication and recognition.
- Capability Building: Build Team Leader and Team Member capability.
- Work Environment Creation: Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities and tasks.
- Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate maintenance activities prioritizing resources to ensure safety and quality.
- Production Team Manager (PTM) Support and Escalation: Stand in for the Production Team Manager (PTM) whenever necessary and escalate issues from Team Leaders and Process Coaches to the Production Team Manager (PTM).
- Daily Production Planning and Execution: Plan and execute daily production to maximize output while maintaining safety and quality standards making decisions on lot size and mix.
- Ford Production System (FPS) Compliance: Ensure adherence and compliance to the Ford Production System (FPS) Key Unifying Processes (KUP).
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Engineering or Manufacturing operations.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience demonstrating leadership.
- Availability to work in shifts (morning/afternoon/evening).
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related discipline. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required).
Experience:
- Engine experience preferred: Prior experience in engine manufacturing assembly or related engineering.
- Safety and Quality experience preferred: Experience implementing and maintaining safety protocols and quality standards.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Constraint Management principles.
- Proven proficiency in analytical and problem-solving methodologies (e.g. 8D Six Sigma root cause analysis) with a track record of resolving complex operational issues.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).
