We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Human Resources / Personnel Security Assistant to support our HR and Security departments with administrative personnel and compliance-related duties. The ideal candidate will have experience or exposure to both human resources and personnel security processes with a strong ability to manage sensitive and confidential information efficiently and accurately. This is a 6 month contract to hire active Secret clearance or higher is required.
Responsibilities:
Human Resources Support:
Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes including new hire paperwork benefits enrollment and exit interviews.
Maintain and update personnel records in both digital and physical formats.
Support recruitment efforts by scheduling interviews communicating with candidates and preparing offer letters.
Help coordinate training sessions performance reviews and employee engagement initiatives.
Respond to routine HR inquiries from employees regarding policies benefits and procedures.
Personnel Security Support:
Assist in processing and tracking security clearances background investigations and suitability determinations in accordance with government regulations (e.g. DoD NISPOM FISMA).
Maintain personnel security files and ensure compliance with federal regulations and internal policies.
Coordinate with government security offices contractors and internal stakeholders on clearance status and investigation timelines.
Monitor and update clearance databases (e.g. DISS e-QIP) and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
Support the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in audits inspections and reporting.
