Job Description:
The Senior Manager of Technology Delivery will spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions that drive Sun Lifes business objectives. This role demands a strategic visionary with a robust background in project management application development and digital transformation coupled with a deep understanding of the insurance industry landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and orchestrate the delivery of complex digital projects from inception to completion ensuring seamless alignment with business goals and evolving customer needs.
- Oversee large-scale cloud migration initiatives guaranteeing smooth transitions and optimal performance of cloud-based applications.
- Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to define project scope objectives and deliverables promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Cultivate and manage stakeholder relationships ensuring transparent communication and effective expectation management throughout project lifecycles.
- Develop implement and refine best practices for project management and digital solution delivery driving continuous improvement.
- Proactively monitor and report on project progress risks and issues proposing innovative solutions to mitigate challenges and optimize outcomes.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies identifying and leveraging opportunities for groundbreaking innovation.
- Guide teams in the development of web and mobile applications ensuring the delivery of exceptional user experiences that set new standards in the industry.
- Mentor and develop team members fostering a culture of continuous learning professional growth and technical excellence.
- Ensure unwavering compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies throughout all stages of project execution.
- Spearhead API design and development initiatives implementing best practices for seamless integration across platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT sector with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex digital solutions and managing large-scale projects particularly in cloud migration and digital transformation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of digital technologies and trends relevant to the insurance sector with a focus on emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in API design and development with a deep understanding of best practices for system integration.
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of an organization.
- Extensive experience with Agile methodologies and their practical application in large-scale projects.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. PMP Scrum Master AWS Certified Solutions Architect Azure Solutions Architect) strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
