About this role

The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of key customer accounts in Europe with a focus on France and Iberia to achieve agreed-upon sales targets and build strong long-lasting relationships. This role involves growing current customer accounts understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions. The Key Account Manager will also be responsible for maintaining accurate customer records and providing excellent customer service.

Accountabilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key customer accounts building and nurturing strong long-term partnerships.

  • Collaborate in developing tailored sales strategies for assigned accounts aligning with customer goals and company objectives.

  • Develop sales plans and own a sales target for their portfolio.

  • Drive the execution of sales initiatives partnering with the Sales Operations and Category Development Job Families to achieve revenue targets.

  • Recognise and pursue upselling potential working with key customers to understand their evolving needs and propose customised solutions.

  • Lead in crafting and negotiating proposals and contracts that achieve customer expectations and align with the businesss capabilities.

  • Generate and analyse sales reports to monitor performance identify trends and provide insights for strategic decision-making.

  • Work closely with other Sales & Marketing and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

  • At least 5 years experience in sales account management technical sales or similar commercial roles

  • Technical background strongly preferred

  • Native-level French language skills required. Professional working proficiency in Spanish a plus.

  • Strong understanding of Sales & Account Management Job Family policies objectives operations and related activities. Specialist knowledge in the end-to-end sales process and broad knowledge of several related disciplines.

  • Strong communication skills to persuade and influence assigned key accounts. The role needs to adapt styles interpret and explain information to differencing audiences from inside and outside the organisation who are not familiar with the subject matter.

  • May lead a team of Sales & Account Management professionals. Accountable for meeting team targets delegating work and managing resources within the team including line management duties.

  • Resolve customer issues that are complex or unusual requiring original thought research new approaches and analytical techniques.

  • Proven ability to significantly influence departmental outcomes through effective decision-making for assigned teams

  • Provides guidance on applying existing principles and contributes insights to the development of new policies and strategies.
