Your role
As People Director Europe Patient Care you will oversee and guide the effective delivery of People support to the business aligning People Strategies with business objectives through relevant programs and procedures. You will promote the People Delivery Model aiming to simplify People-related processes and procedures and enhance the overall employee experience.

You will support the Patient Care facilities (clinics) in Denmark Finland Iceland Netherlands Norway Sweden and the Ukraine as well as individuals in related functions. In the clinics and related functions work approximately 800 employees in the areas of certified orthopaedic and prosthetic clinical support technical support operations marketing sales and support functions.

As People Director you will be part of the Embla Medical global People function and a member of the European People leadership team. On the business side you will join the European Patient Care management team and collaborate closely with the leadership teams in the various clinics as well as other key stakeholders.

You will report to the VP of People Europe & Growth regions. Four HR business partners one HR Generalist and one Facility Coordinator will report directly to you.

Location

The preferred location for this position is Stockholm or elsewhere in Scandinavia though other European locations may also be considered.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of global and regional People strategies aligned with business priorities

  • Support leadership development through talent reviews and targeted interventions; driving succession planning and development for high potentials and leaders

  • Play a key role in the selection of key new hires in close coordination with the talent Acquisition team. Contribute to the development of the employer branding of the organization as part of attracting and retaining talent

  • Coach leadership team members to lead with purpose and inspire their teams

  • Manage and mentor the People team ensuring effective execution of all people-related programs and initiatives

  • Lead change initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness

  • Promote and safeguard company values and culture through well-designed HR programs and policies

  • Measure organizational health and lead appropriate employee engagement initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations; manage HR-related risks and oversee union and works council discussions where applicable

  • Contribute to the further implementation and usage of HR technology solutions AI opportunities in the location. We use Workday as our ERP

  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence in Talent Development Talent Acquisition Total Rewards Payroll and People Technology making sure their services are delivered timely and efficiently

  • Participate in processes such as performance management talent reviews and succession planning and oversee the regional calendar of learning and development trainings and events

Technical skills & competencies required in the role:

  • Minimum of 10 years in an HR-related leadership position in an international setting

  • Masters degree preferred

  • Effective communication and influencing skills with an eye for cultural awareness

  • Speaks English well in addition to local languages when applicable

  • Proven experience with transformation processes and good knowledge of change management

  • Professional verbal written and presentation skills

  • Pro-active and solution-oriented mindset
