Duties and Responsibilities
1.*Works under the direction of the Maui County Administrator to coordinate and perform a variety of tasks that facilitate the day-to-day operations of the Maui Office and a wide range of programmatic and grant-funded projects to ensure smooth operations of the research stations (Kula Ag Park Haleakala and Kahului).

for assisting in the preparation and processing of all fiscal transactions and addressing issues with requisitioner(s) and/or appropriate persons including grant-related fiscal reporting.
staff support in procurement including review and approval of requisitions AIM requests Superquotes Certificates of Insurance purchase orders travel requests & completions departmental checks and Pcard transactions and others as needed in accordance with Federal State and UH policies and procedures.
5.*Reviews and ensures the appropriateness and correctness of travel documents and processes for payment.
6.*Assists with faculty project account balances using the financial systems upon request.
in ensuring that all department and program goods and services are purchased in compliance with Federal State and University guidelines and procedures.
a department P-card to assist in departmental purchases.
9.*Maintains and assists with documentation on Maui County policies and procedures.
10.*Assists with the design and maintenance of the departmental website and other publicity materials.
11.*Serves as a liaison with CTAHR Human Resources and Fiscal Office RCUH and other various departments throughout the University.

Minimum Qualifications
of a baccalaureate degree in business liberal arts communications or related field and 0 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for business; or equivalent education/training or experience; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education knowledge skills and abilities as indicated.
knowledge of principles practices and techniques in the area of business demonstrated by knowledge understanding and ability to apply concepts terminology.
knowledge and understanding of principles theories federal and state laws rules regulations and systems associated with business.
ability to recognize problems identify possible causes and resolve the full range problems that may commonly occur in the area of business.
ability to understand oral and written documentation write reports and procedures and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.
ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations groups team members and individuals.
ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing and spreadsheet software.
Ability to maintain standard office equipment.
Desirable Qualifications
in both academic and fiscal policies and procedures at the university level.
knowledge of university and extramural funding policies and procedures.
