The Team Manager IV Under administrative direction of the Manufacturing Services Unit Manager the Valve and Dive Team Manager is responsible for managing and supervising a team of Valve Technicians Inland Commercial Divers and temp labor Cover Cleaners who collectively support the inspection maintenance repair and refurbishment of valves pumps gates canals pipelines and other mechanical equipment in a manufacturing shop setting and in field locations.
In this role you will manage team tivities and job assignments as needed to satisfy the needs of the District and those of outside customers including the Districts member agencies and the California Department of Water Resources (DWR); provide budget personnel training equipment and related resource requirement recommendations; ensure employee safety and compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements; act as a technical advisor for team and cross-organization activities; meet with internal and external customers to coordinate work on projects and initiatives; assume responsibility and accountability for the technical soundness of the work that is supervised.
Schedule: 4/10 - (Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm)

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience equaling 8 years of increasingly responsible experience of which 3 years must have been in a project management supervisory or lead position. An example of a combination of education and experience would be:
A high school diploma or certificate of high school equivalency (HSEC) and eight years of increasingly responsible experience of which three years must have been in a project management supervisory or lead capacity;
OR
An associates degree from an accredited college or technical school and six years of increasingly responsible experience of which three years must have been in a project management supervisory or lead capacity;
OR
A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and four years of increasingly responsible experience of which three years must have been in a project management supervisory or lead capacity.
Increasingly Responsible Experience is defined as: work experience in the inspection maintenance repair and refurbishment of valves pumps gates canals pipelines and other associated mechanical equipment and structures.
CERTIFICATIONS LICENSES AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
Employees in this position may be required to obtain and maintain the following certifications licensing and registrations:
