As Lead 3D Artist you will lead our creative and gifted team of 3D Artists with a strong focus on stylized projects. You will ensure the ultimate quality of art assets we produce building and maintaining qualitative goals and artistic consistency for 3D art setting high visual standards and defining the styles and pipelines across different stylized projects and the studios portfolio.
In this role you are expected to step in to coach your team define goals for your subordinates resolve any setbacks and deliver feedback with confidence both to the team and the client. You will also manage freelance resources to ensure that the production goes according to schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Developing the stylized 3D art vision of projects leading the creation of a visual style and a consistent design
- Leading 3D art production of internal & external teams providing detailed feedback to artists with a focus on stylization
- Defining 3D art guidelines processes and pipelines specifically tailored for stylized content
- Participating in the estimation process of new stylized games
- Working closely with studio stakeholders communicating your vision for 3D Art department improvement
- Ensuring that final production art is up to the expected standards of design polish and stylized aesthetics
- Communicating with clients to identify opportunities for improvement to ensure that the product is of the highest quality in line with the stylized direction
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as Lead 3D Artist
- At least 4 years of experience as a 3D Environment/Props/Hard surface Artist in Game Development
- Good understanding of sculpting basics: proportion shapes color and material
- Good understanding of composition and lighting
- Strong portfolio with stylized and semi-realistic 3D game-ready works (environments props hard surface)
- Excellent knowledge of 2D art techniques and 3D modeling/processes and techniques
- Ability to keep an eye on the latest popular trends in Game Art
- Outstanding leadership and communication skills; Ability to convey thoughts and messages in a clear and neat way
- Upper-intermediate or advanced English level
- Knowledge of Animation Level Design or environment design is a plus.
