Job Description
Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Warm Valley Health Care
Warm Valley Health Care is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the financial health of our organization while supporting our mission of delivering exceptional care to the community.
About the Role
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing accurate financial records ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting reporting processes that drive sound decision-making. This position requires both technical expertise and problem-solving skills to manage daily accounting functions reconciliations and month-end processes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets income statements and profit and loss statements.
Record and post transactions to the general ledger.
Reconcile bank statements accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
Support financial reviews for mergers and acquisitions.
Ensure confidentiality of financial data and perform database backups as needed.
Qualifications
Were looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong foundation in accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have:
MINIMUM Associates degree in Accounting (Bachelors preferred).
Minimum 3 years experience in general staff accounting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with accounting software (FreshBooks QuickBooks or similar).
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables formulas reporting).
Experience with general ledger functions and reconciliations.
Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preference will be given to qualified Eastern Shoshone tribal members then other qualified federally recognized Indian tribal members and then other qualified candidates.
