Role: QA Automation
Location Requirement: Guadalajara Hybrid.
What Does success mean in this role
57 years of professional experience in software QA including both manual and automation testing
Proficiency with test automation tools: Selenium Cypress Playwright or TestCafe
Experience testing REST APIs using Postman Swagger or similar frameworks
Strong understanding of QA methodologies test planning test case design and defect lifecycle
Experience with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI)
Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools like Jira TestRail Zephyr
Working knowledge of JavaScript Python Java or similar scripting/programming languages used in test automation
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced agile environment
Daily Activities:
Design develop and execute comprehensive manual and automated test cases for web and backend applications
Create and maintain automation test scripts using tools such as Selenium Cypress Playwright or TestCafe
Test and validate REST APIs using tools like Postman Swagger or custom automation frameworks
Participate in sprint planning daily stand-ups and release activities to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle
Document defects clearly and track them through resolution using tools such as Jira
Collaborate closely with developers product managers and DevOps teams to understand features and technical implementation
Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
Maintain and improve test plans test cases and documentation using test management tools such as TestRail or Zephyr
