A bachelors degree in forestry or a related field or equivalent experience.
Preferred: A degree coupled with 5 years of relevant experience.

Fundamental negotiation skills.
Proficiency in determining and applying conversion factors between alternate scales and weights.
Ability to leverage cost volume quality and other supplier data for performance evaluation.
Knowledge of safety environmental labor and transportation laws and regulations pertaining to harvesting operations.
Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Willingness to thrive in a self-motivated self-directed work environment where effective time management is crucial.
Familiarity with total system concepts and demonstrated competence in collaborating across business and organizational boundaries.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software such as Word and Excel along with various other computer software and applications.
Possession of a valid drivers license and adeptness in safely operating a vehicle.
Ability to safely navigate active harvesting sites which typically involves maneuvering on uneven terrain and being in close proximity to heavy operational equipment.
What We Offer:
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program and we are targeting a salary range of$61688-$105556based on your level of skills qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Paid Time Off or Vacation:We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of addition after being employed for six months eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.

This role is situated within the Mississippi Louisiana Region of Weyerhaeusers Southern Timberlands division reporting directly to the Hammond Wood Flow Manager. Based in Hammond LA the position demands significant travel to and from logging sites along with extensive fieldwork dedicated to planning and overseeing harvesting operations.
Key functions:
Administer harvesting and transportation contracts to meet planned volumes and market commitments.
Plan and verify on-site harvest operations ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and environmental standards.
Negotiate and manage contractor relationships including performance monitoring and safety compliance.
Optimize product utilization and merchandizing ensuring quality outcomes in thinning and final harvests.
Maintain accurate system updates and reporting addressing contract noncompliance and operational issues proactively.
Oversee logging road maintenance activities supporting seamless execution of Wood Flow Marketing and Silviculture plans.
