Looking for Student Teachers for Spring 2026

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with the mentor teacher to plan and implement daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.

• Instructs students in whole-class small-group and individual settings.

• Uses various instructional strategies and technologies to support diverse learners.

• Assesses student progress through formal and informal assessments.

• Reflects on teaching practices and participate in regular feedback sessions with the mentor teacher and university supervisor.

• Manages classroom behavior effectively and create a safe inclusive learning environment.

• Participates in staff meetings parent-teacher conferences and school events when appropriate.

• Maintains confidentiality and follow school policies and ethical standards in education.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Passion for teaching and commitment to student success.

• Willingness to receive constructive feedback and apply it to improve teaching practice.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a teacher education program required.

• Completion of relevant coursework in pedagogy child development and curriculum design required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS EQUIPMENT USAGE WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Position is relatively sedentary in a normal office administrative environment involving minimum exposure to physical risks. Will use office equipment such as a computer/laptop monitor keyboard and a general workstation set-up.
