Job Summary

Staff Accountant

MHMR is looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Staff Accountant to join our team. Under minimal supervision the Staff Accountant coordinates financial activities for assigned division(s) and/or unit(s) completes funding source required billings and other reports assures all financial activity is reflected accurately in the agency general ledger monitors budget-to-actual expenses for assigned units and can make prudent decisions that are timely well researched and reflect awareness of impact. They will make recommendations and provide ongoing communication with business directors and/or program managers to assure financial aspects are managed according to GAAP UGMS Federal UGG Contract and/or Grant terms as appropriate.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelors degree

Defined Education: Accounting Finance or Business Administration;

Preferences: Knowledge of advanced computer systems and governmental accounting

Years Experience: Three (3)years

Defined Experience: Accounting Finance or Business related field

License/Certifications: Valid Texas Drivers License
