Job Description

To meet the needs of the region and provide seamless high quality comprehensive surgical care we are seeking a BC/BE Acute Care Trauma Surgeon with responsibilities to provide trauma emergency general surgery coverage at UHS Wilson Medical Center a Level 2 Trauma Center. The chosen candidate will work in a high-volume general/traumasurgical practice.
LOCATION: Binghamton NY is located 2.5 hours north of New York City and 1 hour from Syracuse NY. A progressive college community town that offers a large healthcare presence a safe living environment and a diverse community with nearby lakes ski resorts golf courses wineries a symphony orchestra and an opera company.
The position includes a competitive starting salary of $480000 to $600000 with bonus incentives a sign on bonus moving expenses and a vast array of employment benefits including malpractice insurance and tail coverage.
Formed in 1981 through the consolidation of three community hospitals United Health Services Hospitals employs more than 6000 people. As a teaching hospital affiliated with the SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse NY and the Binghamton University Health Sciences Center United Health Services Hospitals trains over 100 physicians per year in residency and fellowship programs.
