Qualifications:
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or equivalent certification
Texas Drivers License
Three years related job experience
Knowledge and ability to perform pool cleaning and maintenance
Good communication skills (written and oral)
Good computer skills
Physically able to lift 75 pounds
Ability to follow instructions (written and oral)
Primary Purpose:
Clean and maintain district aquatic facilities pool mechanical rooms and chemical rooms. Assist with general maintenance and preventive maintenance of pool facilities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain district aquatic facilities and associated mechanical and chemical rooms.
- Assist supervisor in pool maintenance projects and major repairs.
- Clean water line tiles deck tiles coping and stainless steel hardware.
- Check and adjust water chemistry.
- Inspection of pool safety equipment.
- Recognize and report pool related issues and concerns.
- Perform minor repairs on pool cleaning equipment and chemical feed systems.
- Diagnose and repair pumps and motors.
- Correct unsafe conditions in work area; report all non-correctable and unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately.
- Take all safety precautions related to working with and around hazardous chemicals and situations.
- May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts.
- Efficiently utilize the SchoolDude/Asset Essentials software program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Pool cleaning equipment hand tools power tools district vehicle and computer specialized pool testing equipment ladders and PPE
Working Conditions:
Continual walking and standing; frequent heavy lifting and carrying; climbing stooping bending kneeling and reaching. Exposure to dust fumes and odors. Exposure to mechanical electrical and chemical hazards. Work around moving objects or vehicles. Occasional prolonged or irregular hours.
