Job Description

What You Can Expect

The Due Diligence Analyst will be a key contributor on a diverse team focused on growing ENGIEs Distributed Solar and Storage (DSS) this role you can expect to: evaluate both new/greenfield and acquisition opportunities of development-stage groundmount solar (1 20 MW) and/or battery storage projects; perform permitting research to identify applicable zoning and environmental regulations; gather and analyze data to improve Business Development tools and processes; and support proposals to develop customer-sited projects. The Due Diligence Analyst can expect to gain experience working across a broad range of US markets within multiple project development disciplines (real estate permitting interconnection and offtake) all while collaborating with a cross-functional team of developers engineers attorneys and other subject matter experts. This position is part of the DSS team within the Local Energy Infrastructure Global Business Unit in North America. This position is a temporary contract with no guarantee of future employment beyond the initial 6-month term.

  • Have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with an ability to distill large amounts of information down to key takeaways

Day-to-day activities will include:

  • Conducting site screenings evaluating a given project sites buildable area zoning requirements interconnection feasibility and power offtake options
  • Collaborating with internal and external subject matter experts to support acquisition due diligence including review of engineering (civil and electrical) legal and financial subject areas
  • Using geographic information system (GIS) tools and Microsoft Excel to identify and track suitable sites for upcoming and active land campaigns
  • Creating development budgets and supporting proposal preparation for commercial and industrial (C&I) and utility customer-sited opportunities
  • Researching and writing summaries on emerging and established distributed solar and storage markets across the US

What Youll Bring

  • An Associate degree or 2 years of relevant experience
  • A proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint

Additional Details

  • This role is a temporary contract with no guarantee of future employment beyond the initial 6-month term
  • Ability to work in-person at least 3 days per week in ENGIEs River North Chicago office located at 225 W Hubbard St #200 Chicago IL 60654
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation

Hourly Range: $36.01-$55.18 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
