Roles and Responsibilities
Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development. Includes supplier qualifications action plans audits performance monitoring and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence. SQEs have various levels of differentiation which are related to level of technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors.
Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults People Leader or more senior team members for issues outside of defined parameters.
Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information asks questions and checks for understanding.
Handles simple data entry work requiring face value check and correction.
Measures analyses and reports Supplier performance KPIs (DPPM NCR COR/COF ECNs)
To perform inspection & Measurements of the part as per Engineering drawings (GD&T Dimensions) and specification
Review and ensure that the part qualification is performed in compliance with the FSA (First Sample Approval) process defined by respective by PL.
Manage and ensure that the parts are qualified on time and First Time Right (FTR)
Co-ordinate with Sourcing and Supplier performance Team for on-boarding new supplier as per GE Supplier Quality Policy.
Complete the assigned Audits as per the audit plan and liaison with supplier for audit points closure.
Execute qualification projects (BCC Cost out NPI Alternate source development) and ensure in discussion with Sourcing Supply chain Engineering R&D.
Communicates qualification acceptance to the supplier thru the PQ tool
Establish and ensure the implementation of the GE Quality Plan and If any customer Quality plan
Conduct monthly Quality reviews and corrective actions of suppliers. Manage to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and lead other quality related engagements.
Ensure that Return of Experience (RoE) of similar parts are converted into documentation.
Continuous Improvement mind set to recommend request and implement actions for improvement to prevent non-conformities and improve process performance based on supplier audits.

Required Skill & Qualifications
Diploma / Graduate Engineer certificate in the discipline Mechanical or equivalent Engineering
More than 5 years of experience in Quality
Exposure to Supplier audits ISO 9001/ISO 14001/OHSAS 18000
Knowledge on PFMEA PPAP
Knowledge on Problem-Solving Methodologies and Tools
Knowledge on castings machining forging plating/painting process
Customer focused
Excellent liaison attitude
Added advantage: NDT certification
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document plan market and execute programs.
Willing to travel often to supplier sites.
