About the role

With an exciting brownfields hard-rock mining project on the horizon were seeking experienced Trainer Assessor. Located nearby Southern Cross these roles are offered on a FIFO 8/6 roster from Perth or DIDO roster from surrounding towns.

In this role you will:

• Ensuring that the assessment activity complies with the principles of assessment (validity fairness reliability flexibility authenticity currency)
• Making determinations regarding the achievement of the assessment outcomes in accordance with the assessment package requirements
• Maintainingthe integrity of assessments and results
• Developing retraining plans for those who do not achieve the required result during the assessment activity
• Have attention to detail when completing forms and documentation
• Ensuring the assessment documentation is passed onto the Training Coordinator as soon as the assessment is completed
• Implement all training programs within their competency so that production quality training safety health and environment requirements are satisfied
• Assist the trainee in the knowledge of all of the Operating Procedures for the item of plant they are training on
• Perform training activities and assessments for operators as required
• Take responsibility for the trainee and actions while training

About You

• Previous experience operating heavy mobile equipment in a mining environment
• Specific experience operating Caterpillar Komatsu Hitachi andLiebherrmining plant will be highly regarded
• TAE Certificate IV in Training & Assessing essential
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to continuous self-improvement
