The City of Pearsall is currently accepting Applications for the following position:
Job title: Water Maintenance Worker
Department: Water Production and Collection
Opening Date: August 26 2025
Closing Date: Sept 02 2025
Job Type: Full Time/Non-Exempt
Salary: Entry level pay - $14.85/ per hr.
Hours:8 am to 5 pm (Monday - Friday)
(Subject to Dept. Heads discretion - hours may vary)

Job Summary:
Under supervision performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties in the inspection installation maintenance and repair of water/ wastewater distribution system facilities; assists in maintenance tasks related to the water/ wastewater distribution system; and performs a variety of tasks relative to the assigned area of responsibility. Other work tasks include assisting other departments such as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Education/Training: Equivalent to the completion of high school or GED.
Experience: One (1) year experience in the installation repair and maintenance of water services mains meters valves hydrants and related facilities is desirable.
Certificate: Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Certification about the primary role within their job description as described in the Essential Function.
Must be able to work outside of regular business hours as needed
Pre-employment requirements
Valid Texas Drivers License required
Pre-Employment Physical & Non-Drug Test
