What You Can Expect

As a Project Manager I at ENGIE youll be at the heart of our strategic operations at the University of Iowa gaining hands-on experience in critical utility sectors like Power Generation Water Treatment Chilled Water and Distribution. This isnt just a support roleyoull be driving projects forward owning key deliverables and building the foundation for a long-term career in energy and infrastructure.

What Youll DoIn this Role:

  • Take ownership of project planning and execution actively shaping outcomes and driving progress across technical systems and infrastructure
  • Monitor and analyze project budgets and schedules proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions
  • Provide clear data-driven updates to clients and stakeholders highlighting your ability to manage timelines and financials
  • Coordinate permitting construction planning contractor oversight and procurementdeveloping your leadership and decision-making skills
  • Ensure all work aligns with ENGIEs high standards for safety ethics and sustainability

What Youll Bring

  • A Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or a related technical field. In lieu of a four-year degree a high school diploma or GED with four (4) years of relevant experience will be considered
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Project)
  • A systems approach to problem solving and the ability to define emergent problems quantitatively
  • Familiarity in understanding how scope schedule and budget interact throughout a projects lifecycle
  • A drive to contribute meaningfully to long-term infrastructure improvementspaired with curiosity adaptability and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes in a dynamic campus environment

Additional Details

  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • Must possess a valid U.S. drivers license/clean driving record; for ability to drive to site locations

Compensation

Hourly Range: $36.00 $55.18 USD hourly.

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal state and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography experience education internal pay alignment or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
