Minimum Qualifications:
At least two years experience in small engine repair equipment maintenance or related field
Experience in diagnosing and repairing small gas and diesel engines pumps compressors and hydraulics
Experience with preventive maintenance scheduling and recordkeeping in a work management system
Valid drivers license
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in small engine repair diesel technology or related trade
Experience maintaining sealcoat striping or crack sealing equipment
Experience in facilities fleet or university/public sector environment
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of campus parking facilities lots and garages and the equipment used to maintain them
Knowledge of small engine repair preventive maintenance practices and safe operation of equipment
Knowledge of tools materials and processes used in sealcoating striping crack sealing and related parking maintenance work
Skill in diagnosing and repairing equipment such as pressure washers stripers crack seal machines sealcoat systems and utility vehicles
Skill in maintaining accurate records of maintenance preventive maintenance and parts inventory in a work management system
Ability to coordinate with vendors for warranty service major repairs and equipment replacement planning
Ability to train maintenance and custodial staff in proper operation care and safety practices for equipment
Ability to communicate effectively provide responsive customer service and work collaboratively with team members and campus partners
