Job Description

United Way is seeking a dynamic results-driven New Partnership Director to lead the development and execution of high-impact business relationships that significantly advance fundraising goals. This role will be responsible for identifying cultivating and securing new revenue-generating partnerships with a strong emphasis on innovation growth and measurable outcomes. The Director is a self-starter who contributes to organization-wide strategies and works closely with the Chief of Corporate and Donor Relations Officer to design and implement innovative fundraising initiatives. The New Partnership Director will be responsible for the following responsibilities:

Design and implement a targeted strategy to identify engage and secure new business partners.

Leverage CRM and analytics to monitor prospect engagement inform cultivation and solicitation strategies and track progress toward goals.

Incorporate successful new partnership stories into communications and presentations that showcase VSUWs impact alignment with CSR objectives.

Foster long-term relationships with new partners through multi-year agreements that are rooted in shared community impact goals.

Research and conduct discovery conversations to uncover new partner prospect motivations and values identifying donor engagement strategies and proposals that align with the mission and priorities of VSUW.

Represent VSUW at community impact CSR and philanthropic leadership forums; translate key insights into actionable strategies to build new partnerships.

Engage cross-departmental staff to inform donor strategies and proposals ensuring accuracy and alignment with VSUWs intended impact.

Collaborate internally to create compelling partnership packages including sponsorships cause marketing and custom corporate social responsibility partnerships.

Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of business partners ensuring mutual value and impact.

Deliver outstanding stewardship and reporting that leads to increased retention and growth opportunities.

Within the first 12-18 months success will be measured by:

New Revenue Generation:

o Secure a minimum of $1M in first 24 months

o Build and actively manage a qualified pipeline of at least 40 high-potential

prospects

o Advance 50% of pipeline opportunities to active cultivation or proposal state

within six months

Launch 3-5 new innovative partnerships with measurable impact and visibility

Requirements

Bachelors degree in a related field.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in development fundraising or business development preferably in the nonprofit or business engagement space you bring a proven ability to prospect cultivate and grow business relationships and have demonstrated success managing campaigns or accounts and meeting revenue goals.

Excel at building authentic relationships and have excellent written verbal and public speaking skills.

Proven project management planning and time management skills to ensure initiatives are kept on track.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to connect with diverse stakeholders

Ability to work independently and take initiative within a collaborative team environment.

Experience working closely with marketing development or impact teams is a plus.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/database platforms (Andar preferred) along with flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for special events.
