Overview:
The Director of Quality and Risk will be responsible for overseeing the organization s quality assurance and risk management processes within the healthcare sector. This position is crucial in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards improving patient outcomes and promoting a culture of safety and quality throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to enhance patient safety and care quality.
- Monitor and assess risk management practices; identify potential areas of risk and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives working collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to achieve strategic goals.
- Prepare and present reports on quality metrics and risk assessments to senior management and stakeholders.
- Train and educate staff on quality and risk management best practices and compliance requirements.
- Stay current with changes in healthcare regulations quality standards and emerging trends in risk management.
- Coordinate with external regulatory bodies and accrediting organizations during inspections and audits.
- Foster a positive culture of quality and safety across all departments of the organization.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a quality management or risk management role within the healthcare sector.
- Advanced degree in healthcare administration nursing public health or a related field preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations quality assurance methodologies and risk management principles.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and influence change effectively.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of progressive leadership experience in healthcare quality and risk management.
- Experience in initiating and managing quality improvement projects and educational initiatives.
- Proven track record of enhancing patient safety and satisfaction through innovative quality strategies.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and data analysis tools.
