Ontario Health is seeking aBusiness Analystto join theData Holdings Strategy & Implementation teamsupporting theDigital Health Information Exchange (DHIEX) Program. This program plays a critical role in implementing provincial regulations for digital health interoperability working closely with vendors and health information custodians to ensure compliance and enable secure standards-based data exchange across the health system.
As a Business Analyst youll be at the forefront of translating regulatory and program needs into actionable requirements that support Ontario Healths digital strategy. Youll collaborate with internal teams external stakeholders and vendors to define document and validate both functional and non-functional requirements for digital health assets. Your work will directly contribute to the development of interoperability specifications conformance testing and the successful deployment of digital health solutions across Ontario.
Here is what you will be doing:
Develop and maintain interoperability specifications aligned with DHIEX regulatory requirements.
Monitor digital health assets (DHAs) for compliance and support certification processes.
Create onboarding materials evaluation checklists and service gating tools to support program governance.
Participate in certification and conformance testing activities to ensure readiness for deployment.
Identify and mitigate risks related to compliance certification and stakeholder alignment.
Collaborate across teams to ensure cohesive delivery of program objectives.
Analyze stakeholder needs and adjudicate requests from internal and external clients.
Prepare and maintain program documentation process maps and training materials.
Support implementation of Ontario Healths Identity and Authorization services.
Perform business and client requirement analysis for service development and deployment.
Continuously improve operational and registration processes.
Educate stakeholders on Identity and Authorization policies and processes.
Provide business and technical input for test plans and support execution.
Participate in user forums and research to understand client needs.
Recommend changes to product procedures and features.
Maintain deep understanding of product policies standards and business domain knowledge.
Make decisions with major organizational impact requiring sophisticated solutions.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Business Health-related fields Engineering Computer Science or equivalent experience.
3 years of experience in process development and implementation.
3 years of experience in requirements elicitation and analysis.
Familiarity with documentation tools (e.g. Confluence Wiki).
Understanding of project delivery in a matrix environment.
Knowledge of process mapping SDLC ITSM practices and business domain-specific areas.
Awareness of health informatics and health information management.
Understanding of data standards and Ontarios electronic health record ecosystem.
