Job Description
Location: Arlington VA (4 days/week in office)
Reports to: Senior Manager Accounting
Company Size: Mid-sized high-growth renewable energy developer

Role Overview:
This Staff Accountant will support the monthly and quarterly close process manage general ledger entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities. The role is highly cross-functional partnering with finance operations and external stakeholders. Ideal for someone eager to grow optimize processes and contribute to a fast-paced mission-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform monthly/quarterly close and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare loan draws for development portfolio
Record journal entries for revenue AP prepaid expenses and debt
Generate ad-hoc reports for finance and operations teams
Liaise with auditors lenders and vendors
Support cash forecasting and liquidity analysis
Technical Skills:
Experience with NetSuite Oracle or similar GL systems
Strong Excel skills; familiarity with PowerPoint and Word
Exposure to Sage products is a plus
Education & Credentials:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
CPA license or active candidate preferred
12 years of experience in external audit or GL accounting
