The Salary Administration Analyst Team Lead provides technical and consultative support in salary administration within the Classification and Compensation section of the DHHS Human Resources Division. This position serves as a working team lead overseeing salary analysts and ensuring implementation of accurate consistent and policy-compliant salary determinations across a large diverse workforce.
The role supports the departments ability to recruit and retain employees by managing and reviewing salary actions conducting data analysis interpreting NC OSHR policies and consulting with HR partners. This position contributes to the integrity and equity of salary administration practices and helps maintain alignment with federal and state guidelines.
Review salary requests and hiring packets for compliance with OSHR policies and merit-based practices
Provide technical guidance and consultative oversight to salary administrators
Interpret and apply state and departmental salary policies to assess compensation decisions
Conduct quality reviews of salary administration actions and documentation
Analyze and research salary data using BEACON and BOBJ systems
Advise managers on salary-related issues exceptions and policy interpretation
Train HR staff on salary processes reporting tools and system transactions
Serve as a resource on qualifications evaluation and salary policy application
Process salary lifecycle tasks using Smartsheet Workapps and monitor transaction progress
Support employment trend analysis and policy exception reviews for complex cases
