Job Description

As Head of Data Engineering EMEA you will lead the data engineering function across the Europe Middle East and Africa region. You will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable secure and efficient data solutions leveraging technologies such as Databricks working closely with agile teams and DevOps to ensure seamless data operations.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across business units driving data-driven decision making and enabling innovation. Your role requires a strong technical background combined with excellent leadership skills to manage and grow diverse teams of engineers fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Your role

As Head of Data Engineering EMEA you are the driving force behind the technical success of our data initiatives across the region. You lead multiple data engineering teams spread over different countries within EMEA ensuring they work effectively together share knowledge and continuously improve.

You are responsible for developing a future-proof data architecture that is scalable secure and efficient. You work closely with agile teams DevOps specialists data scientists and business stakeholders to successfully deliver complex data projects.

You are not only a technical expert but also an inspiring people manager who knows how to develop and motivate talent. You build a culture of innovation collaboration and ownership within the team. Additionally you act as a key link between technical teams and management supporting strategic decision-making and positioning data engineering as a business driver within Cushman & Wakefield.

What you bring

  • Extensive experience in data engineering preferably within a multinational environment
  • Strong knowledge of Databricks cloud platforms and modern data architectures
  • Proven leadership skills managing distributed agile teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working in agile and DevOps environments
  • Passion for building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of continuous learning
