DescriptionThe Role
The Power Station Operator is responsible for day-to-day monitoring operating maintenance and repair of power generation equipment at various customer sites.
This is a roaming role to support operator coverage moving between various sites across the Pacific Energy fleet as required.
This is a 15:13 roster with point of hire Perth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures and promote a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.
- Repair and maintain power generation equipment at customer sites ensuring all safety protocols are followed and equipment is fully operational.
- Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance of power generation equipment including troubleshooting and diagnosing faults as they arise.
- Respond to emergency repair calls and breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner ensuring minimal downtime for the customer.
- Keep accurate records of work performed including parts used labour hours and expenses and provide detailed reports to the Power Station Manager.
- Maintain a high level of client satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service and communicating effectively with customers to ensure their needs are met.
- Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians and support staff to ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Skills And ExperiencesAbout You:
- Relevant Trade certification.
- HV switching highly desirable
- Minimum of 1-3 years experience working with power generation equipment.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a strong commitment to safety.
