Carpenter

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking experienced Carpenters to join our team on projects with various contractors throughout the Portland metropolitan area. As a Carpenter you will play a crucial role in constructing and renovating structures ensuring they are built to specifications and meet high-quality standards.

Carpenter Responsibilities:

Interpret construction plans blueprints and specifications to determine materials required and layout for projects.

Measure cut and shape materials such as lumber plywood and other building materials according to specifications.

Install and assemble structural framework including walls floors and roofs.

Construct and install wooden frameworks partitions and temporary supports for pouring concrete.

Collaborate with other construction professionals such as contractors and engineers to ensure project goals are met.

Inspect and repair existing structures identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Comply with safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Perform other duties as assigned by lead supervisor foreman or other person in charge on site

Carpenter Requirements:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Carpenter in the construction industry.

Must have own tools.

Proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment.

Strong knowledge of construction materials methods and procedures.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans blueprints and specifications.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measuring cutting and shaping materials.

Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
