Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and innovative Operational Research Systems Analyst to join our remote team. The successful candidate will apply advanced analytical mathematical and computational techniques to solve complex operational logistical and organizational challenges. This position is critical in driving data-informed decisions process optimization and strategic planning across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and apply mathematical models simulations and optimization techniques to analyze business processes and recommend improvements.
Collect analyze and interpret large data sets from various sources to inform decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations logistics IT finance etc.) to define problems gather requirements and implement analytical solutions.
Prepare and present reports visualizations and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
Evaluate the effectiveness of current processes identify bottlenecks and propose data-driven solutions.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies analytical methodologies and industry best practices.
Support scenario planning forecasting and strategic initiatives using quantitative analysis.
Document methodologies and maintain transparency in analytical procedures for audit and reference purposes.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Operations Research Industrial Engineering Applied Mathematics Statistics Computer Science or a related field.
2 years of experience in operations research systems analysis or a similar analytical role.
Proficient in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g. Python R MATLAB SAS Excel).
Strong understanding of optimization simulation and statistical modeling techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience working independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
Strong attention to detail organizational and documentation skills.
Hourly Pay Rate:
$45 - $65 per hour (commensurate with experience education and technical expertise).
