AFC GAA
The Athletic and Fitness Center is seeking a responsible graduate student with an interest in sports recreation and management who is a team player that will work with the other GAAs to develop innovative and creative programs that enhance and promote recreation on campus. This position will be responsible for overseeing the Athletic and Fitness Center in all aspects including scheduling student staff management etc. as well as other duties assigned by the supervisor of this position.
Responsibilities of the Position:
Attention to detail is imperative.
Supervising the AFC control desk attendants lifeguards etc.
Develop the semester hourly schedule for student employees.
Develop an ongoing customer service program.
Lead student employee staff meetings.
Assist AFC professional staff with departmental programs.
Manage the promotion of various programs provided by the AFC via conventional and electronic methods.
Create dynamic website that includes up-to-date information.
Completing other duties as assigned by the supervisor of this position.
Student staff must participate in online and in person training sessions provided by the Career Development Office. The position is in-person and hours vary weekly depending on your availability in relation to building hours. Nights and weekends are required. You will be asked to meet in person at least once per semester. There is a Dress code/uniform that will be required for this position.
