About the Role
Were seeking a detail-oriented and compliance-driven professional to join our team as Senior Identity & Access Management (IAM) Consultant.
In this role youll help ensure that access to critical banking systems is properly governed monitored and aligned with regulatory standards. Youll work closely with business IT and compliance teams to support access reviews entitlement validations and audit readiness.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in identity governance and a passion for risk management in a regulated environment.
Top Responsibilities:
Support periodic user access reviews and entitlement validations to ensure compliance with internal policies and banking regulations.
Maintain and validate role-based access models that align with business functions and reduce access-related risks.
Identify potential Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts assist with documenting mitigating controls and track remediation efforts to support audit readiness.
Audit & Compliance Support: Contribute to the preparation of documentation and evidence for internal audits and regulatory reviews (e.g. SOX FFIEC).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business units IT and compliance teams to resolve access issues and ensure governance alignment.
Qualifications:
35 years of experience in access governance IAM IT security or compliancepreferably within banking or financial services.
Strong understanding of role-based access control (RBAC) entitlement management and segregation of duties principles.
Experience supporting access reviews certifications and audit documentation.
Familiarity with IAM or GRC tools (e.g. SailPoint Saviynt Archer ServiceNow).
Proficiency in analyzing access data and generating governance metrics.
Excellent communication and documentation skills with attention to detail and sensitivity to access-related data.

Salary Range:
$83100 - 141300 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension) health and welfare benefits (medical dental vision spending accounts and disability) paid time off parental and caregiver leave life & accident insurance and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
