Position Overview

A Principal Project Manager with the help of their team is charged with multiple responsibilities that span the five project phases of a project life cycle (initiating planning executing monitoring and closing). The project management phases intersect with 10 knowledge areas which include integration scope time cost/finance quality human resources communication risk procurement and stakeholder management.

What Youll Do

  • Project Leadership: Guide and motivate the project team to execute project plans manage resources and resolve challenges.

  • Strategic Planning: Define project scope goals and deliverables. Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines budgets and resource allocation.

  • Execution and Oversight: Oversee all phases of project execution ensuring tasks are completed milestones are met and quality standards are maintained.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track project progress identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies. Proactively monitor key metrics and report on project status to stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Manage expectations and ensure clear consistent communication throughout the project.

  • Team Development: Mentor and coach project team members fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

  • Process Improvement: Champion continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes and identifying opportunities to refine methodologies and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent.

  • 10 years of Project Management experience (Preferably within Banking and/or Financial Services).

  • Experience proactively managing project spend including reporting of actuals and the creation of the budget.

  • Experience in Project Management theory and/or software.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite including Excel Word and Power Point required.

  • Project Management experience in the financial services industry especially banking (Preferred)

  • Advanced degree (i.e. MBA) or PMP Certification (Preferred).

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $135000-$155000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors such as a candidates qualifications skills and experience.
