The Medical Center of Trinity is looking for experienced acute care nurse practitioners to join with our Surgical Oncologist at HCA Florida Trinity Hospital in Trinity Florida. This position requires OR/first assist experience and will be participatory in helping to build a robust complex GI cancer surgery program focused on robotic surgery.
Responsibilities Include:
Inpatient clinical support including writing notes orders and rounding on patients. Ability to see consults as needed as well.
Operative support serving as first assist on all procedures
Outpatient clinical support postoperative patients as well as those for long term surveillance. Follow up on studies for patient compliance. Writing necessary prescriptions for patients critical for successful cancer practice.
Will be serving as first call during the day managing nursing and patient calls. Rounding duties 1-2 weekends per month
Data collection and programmatic support. Maintain ongoing database of all surgeries as part of patient care tracking quality improvement programmatic growth marketing research and possible research publication.
Strong preference of candidates with operative experience
