As an Echocardiology Nurse at St. Bernardino Medical Center you will focus on providing comprehensive non-invasive cardiac testing and rehabilitation services to a diverse patient population. While most patients are middle-aged or older you will draw on a solid understanding of lifespan growth and development to effectively assess and address the unique needs of adolescents adults and aging adults. You will play a pivotal role in guiding patients through their cardiac care journey collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and ensuring each individuals well-being is a priority.
Key Responsibilities
Exemplify patient satisfaction principles including AIDET (Acknowledge Introduce Duration Explanation Thank You) in every interaction with patients families and colleagues.
Apply the Nursing ProcessAssessment Planning Intervention Documentation and Evaluationto consistently deliver exceptional cardiac care.
Orient patients and their families to the Health & Fitness Center including explaining exercise equipment use telemetry safety protocols and any age-specific considerations.
Collaborate with patients and their families to develop individualized care goals drawing on all relevant information to create targeted plans that address each patients specific health and age-related requirements.
Communicate with team members regarding patients physical emotional and age-specific needs documenting changes and progress in patient records.
Continuously assess patients status adjusting goals and interventions as needed to optimize outcomes.
Provide guidance and oversight to ancillary nursing staff technicians students and new team members serving as a knowledgeable supportive mentor and role model.
