DescriptionAs a Middle Office Portfolio Management Associate you will be an integral part of the Energy product team within the TOI group based in Chicago. You will manage a portfolio of renewable energy tax credit transactions ensuring accurate model updates and analysis. Your role will involve working closely with various internal teams and external clients to understand and manage investment structures and risks. This position offers the chance to develop your skills in a fast-paced team-oriented this role you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects that drive the growth of renewable energy investments. You will collaborate with the TOI origination and asset management groups to enhance pricing models and systems contributing to the firms leadership in the renewable energy market.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of renewable energy tax credit transactions including model updates and risk analysis.
- Analyze partnership financial statements tax returns and monthly operating reports.
- Incorporate actual financial results and forecast changes quarterly; perform sensitivity analysis and update for annual tax return filings.
- Collaborate with TOI origination and asset management groups to understand deal-specific dynamics.
- Engage with outside clients (sponsors) to resolve issues related to assigned transactions.
- Work with TOI origination asset management and technology groups to automate pricing models and systems.
- Provide support and analysis for asset workouts dispositions and ad hoc requests.
- Develop an understanding of financial results for assigned transactions and communicate insights to management.
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong analytical skills including partnership tax and accounting knowledge.
- Economic modeling experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced formula composition skills.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to interact effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred.
- Experience in renewable energy investments or tax equity transactions.
- Familiarity with financial modeling software or tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to renewable energy investments.
