As a Hiroshima Site People program Specialist you will be responsible for overseeing and managing Micron Foundations programs at our site. You will work closely with the Foundations leadership team and site leaders to ensure that our initiatives align with our corporate strategy and deliver measurable social impact. You also will be responsible for coordinating a variety of external and internal activities and related tasks. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills and a commitment to community engagement. We are looking for a passionate and driven Site Program Specialist to join our team and help us achieve our strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement site-specific programs that align with the Foundations corporate strategy.
  • Coordinate and manage related internal and external activities and events.
  • Collaborate with nonprofit organizations and community partners to identify needs and opportunities for support.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and initiatives manage program-related actions providing regular reports to the Micron Foundations leadership team.
  • Manage budgets and resources for site programs ensuring efficient and effective use of funds.
  • Promote STEM education initiatives and support related events and activities.
  • Represent the Foundation at community events and meetings.
  • Foster a culture of philanthropy and volunteerism within the organization and the community.
  • Supporting People teams projects and execution especially internal communication tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration Nonprofit Management or a related field.
  • The preferred candidate should be fluent in both English and Japanese. However it is acceptable for one language to be fluent and the other to be at a conversational level.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management preferably in the nonprofit or philanthropic sector.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in budget management and financial reporting.
  • Passion for community engagement and social impact.
  • Knowledge of STEM education initiatives is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in event planning and management.
