Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a Trusts & Estates litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
- Take and defend depositions appear in court and hearings and handle trials where applicable.
- Draft pleadings motions discovery demands responses and related submissions.
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
- Supervise and mentor a team of associates and paralegals.
Requirements:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Admission to the New York State Bar.
- 10 years of sophisticated Trusts & Estates litigation experience including Surrogates Court practice.
- Experience with estate administration and estate tax matters is a plus.
- Trial experience preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Strong writing oral advocacy organizational and time management skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Target Hiring Range: $200000 $300000 (commensurate with experience book of business and skills).
