Job Summary:
This role is for a Cath Lab Technologist responsible for assisting providers during diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures in a combined lab setting. The technologist will scrub and circulate procedures with medication administration performed solely by RNs. The position requires significant experience in interventional radiology.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting providers during diagnostic/interventional radiology and cardiology procedures.
- Scrubbing and circulating in IR/Cath Lab and cardiology procedures.
- Performing EKG lead placement (preferred).
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment.
- Responding to call requirements including weekend and weekday on-call shifts.
- Participating in unit orientation.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- Experience in interventional radiology (IR) 90% of procedures are IR.
- ACLS certification.
- BCLS certification.
- ARRT or RCIS certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience performing EKG lead placement.
- ARRT Advanced Certification.
- RCES certification.
- RCIS with medical experience.
Special Considerations:
- On-call responsibilities include weekday call (4 PM - 7:30 AM next day) and weekend call (Friday 4 PM - Monday 7:30 AM). The call schedule involves one call weekend and one week of no call per month.
- 30-minute callback time for STEMIs; IR callback time varies by procedure type.
- Call team consists of three staff members including one RN.
- No float requirement.
- Weekend requirement is every third weekend.
- No holiday RTO allowed.
- RTO after booking is not allowed.
- Unit orientation is 40-80 hours.
- Scrubs are provided.
- Patient age group: Adults and geriatrics.
- Patient diagnoses include various implants (PPM ICD).
- The lab is a combination of IR (80%) cardiology vascular and EP (10%).
Scheduling:
- 8-hour days 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
- 40-hour work week can be offered.
- Contracts of 13-20 weeks are accepted.
- Scheduling is per unit needs.
