Job Description
Ballot Handling & Processing Specialist
FedTec is hiring detail-oriented Ballot Handling & Processing Specialists to support the accurate and secure processing of ballots during the Sacramento County election cycle. This role is ideal for individuals with strong attention to detail who thrive in structured fast-paced environments under close observation.
Location: Sacramento CA (100% onsite)
Job Type: Temporary (6 weeks to 8 weeks)
Responsibilities:
- Operate ballot tabulation and extraction machines ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Compare and verify voter signatures on ballot envelopes with voter registration files.
- Prepare flatten and organize ballots for processing; identify and escalate damaged ballots.
- Support adjudication teams in interpreting unclear voter marks.
- Duplicate or enhance damaged/soiled ballots onto clean ballots.
- Work closely with team members while under observation from media and official monitors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail; accuracy is critical.
- Ability to stand for long hours bend and handle repetitive tasks.
- Prior clerical quality control or document review experience preferred.
- Ability to follow strict procedures and maintain impartiality.
- Willingness to work extended hours (up to 10 12 hrs/day during election period).
